Baduk is a beautiful short film about learning to cherish and appreciate the moments you have with family while they’re still around. Told through the eyes of a daughter, who learned to play the South Korean strategy game Baduk from her mother, she endeavours to have the memory live on in her own child’s mind by passing the joy of playing the game on to her. Dom had the privilege of production designing this film for his friend Induk Lee. It has been received very well, winning the Best Short Film at the 2022 Screen Nova Scotia Awards, and featured on CBC’s Short Film Face-Off
